| Born Arthur Leonard Rosenberg (February 26, 1920) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Randall attended Northwestern's School of Speech for a year (1937-1938), leaving to study acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre in New York City.
He made his Broadway acting debut in 1941's A Circle of Chalk, and -- after serving in the war -- appeared in a number of movies and TV shows, including "Mr. Peepers," "The Odd Couple" (for which he received an Emmy in 1975), and "The Tony Randall Show."
Randall is a founder and artistic director of the National Actors Theatre in New York City.
