| The ten-year-old Shakespeare Repertory has been consistently working to make a nationally and internationally known center for Shakespeare study and performance in Chicago. Know what? They've been pretty darn successful. Since their first production of Trolius and Cressida in October of 1987, nearly every production they have staged has been raved and enjoyed. They do three productions a year (the season runs from October to May), featuring both local actors and out-of-town guests, mostly in the downtown Ruth Page Theatre As of October 1999, they'll be moving into a new $24 million performance space at Navy Pier, and the group will change their name to Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
