| After graduating from Northwestern University's theatre school in 1997, Kate Baldwin has starred in four Marriott Lincolnshire productions, Baby, Queen of the Stardust Ballroom, Finian's Rainbow, and Houdini. Not only is Baldwin rather attractive, but she has a fantastic voice. Says Chicago Magazine, 'Her thrilling, not-to-be-believed singing voice is actually two voices -- an Ethel Merman-style "belt" that can tear off a hunk of lyric and throw it across the room, and a joyfully precise and intimate soprano.' She's an understudy in a new version of Finian's Rainbow, scheduled to open on Broadway in the fall of 2000.
