| West suburban organization promoting the development of theatrical talent founded in 1963. It's roots go back about 70 seasons, to 1929, when the group was started as a program of the Chicago Park District, performing at Marquette, Graver, and Ridge Parks. A group of its regulars decided to branch out in '63, lauching the BTG with a production of The Desk Set at St. Xavier College, to be followed by productions at schools and restaurants, until it joined in supporting the creation of the The Beverly Art Center in 1969. For the last 30 years, this has served as the home base for all BTG productions. Their 1998/9 season included Cinderella, E/R - Emergency Room, and Do Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up. 1999/2000 featured Guys and Dolls, The Curious Savage, and Lend Me a Tenor.
