Annoyance Theatre

Annoyance Theatre opens in their new Uptown space in April 2006.

Low-brow comedy troupe for a high society art form lost their home in June 2000, as the owners of their old space sold it to make a parking lot. They had performed mainly improv or versions of a basic theme and offered comedy improv classes.

Annoyance had previously claimed the city's longest-running musical, Coed Prison Sluts, a parody of jailhouse films (they say "just like Annie except she's in prison and she's a whore") full of anal-sex jokes, etc. Other notable productions have included The Real Live Brady Bunch, the after-midnight improv show Screw Puppies, and Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake Your Ass.

Annoyance Improvisation & Writing classes are held at the Annoyance Studio Space, 4802 N. Broadway (773) 989-9884
