Since 1994, ShawChicago Theater Company has performed readings of works by Bernard Shaw and his contemporaries. Established by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, it became a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization in 2000. It produces three productions per season at the Ruth Page Center for the Performing Arts and the Chicago Cultural Center, and it has an extensive outreach touring program. Veteran Chicago actor and director Robert Scogin has served as Artistic Director since 1996.
