This second floor theatre is the home of Mary Arrchie Theatre, and is rented out by other theatre companies throughout the season. Established in 1986, this not-for-profit theater organization has performed well-known shows like Sam Shepard's "Curse of the Starving Class," David Mamet's "Edmond" and Bertolt Brecht's "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui," with a loud and sometimes ludicrous approach. Each August the theater is home to the "Abbie Hoffman Died For Our Sins" festival, a marathon 3-day event for Chicago's eclectic and experimental theaters.
