Homer's is one of the more popular ice cream joints in the New Trier area. It's the place the softball teams go after a game, and people stop by when they're out for a walk. It's set up sort of like a diner/fast food joint: You go to the counter to order (sure, you could get hamburgers or Italian beef as well, but nearly everyone cuts directly to the ice cream), and there are a few tables to sit in. The parking is minimalist (on a hot summer day you may not get a spot in the lot), but you can usually find parking within a block or two if the lot's full. Try just off of Green Bay.
