Cheap eats meet with an almost-classy setting at the Broadway Grill. Conveniently located on the corner of Broadway and Lawrence, this cleaned-up spot boasts a red- and white-tile counter that seems straight out of a 1950s soda shoppe. Posters of Broadway shows like Kiss of the Spider Woman and Chicago cheekily line the walls, inviting your gaze upward.

A downward glance will reveal very non-Broadway prices. Enjoy a BLT for $2.75 or splurge on a "chicken entree." It sounds fancy, but it's really just filling: four pieces of fried chicken with coleslaw and fries for $5.25, for example. It's good spot to hit up before a show at the across-the-street Riviera. A simple breakfast menu is served all day.
