Zimbabu (Zim) is the bandleader and founder of Zimprov. Zim has been a staple in the music community for over three decades. His career highlights include but are not limited to the following:
- Drummer for Charles "the mighty burner" Earland for 10 years
- Drummer of the legendary Sonny Seals Band
- 1989 Chicago Jazz Festival w/ Jimmy McGriff & Charles Earland
- 1994 Berlin Jazz Fest w/ Charles Earland
- Original Drummer for the Tom Dressen Show 88' house band
- Member of the Original House Band at the Cotton Club, Chicago, IL
- Opened for Chuck Berry, Shirley Horn, Art Porter, Big Twist & the Mellow Fellows....
- In 1984 Jammed with the late great Jaco Pastorius at 55 Grand St. - N.Y
- On air every other Tuesday at WHPK 88.5 FM, as the co-host and progrma director Recordings
- 1995 Cd Entitled - Roughs with the band StreetDancer
- Zim made a guest appearance on 2 tracks
- Recorded Music Tracks for Sesame Street w/ Lucius Bell, Jr.
