| This "hard-hitting and versatile ensemble," made up of12-18 highly qualified musicians, performs jazz compositions from the traditional repertoire and contemporary composers, exploring new music notational systems and standard improvisational techniques. Ensemble members write and/or arrange all music specifically for the group's instrumentation for their three annual concerts.
The Jazz X-tet has produced two CDs of compositions and arrangements by the ensemble's members: In Retrospect (1998) and Visons of Things to Come 2001.
