| Born on November 27, 1973 Twista hails from the west side of Chicago and often includes his old neighborhood in many of his songs. He's best known for his rapid-fire rhyming and was even featured in the Guinness Book Of World Records in 1992 as the Fastest Rapper. His record deal with Atlantic was rumored to have been worth $4 million. Before the major record deal, Twista was a part of the group Do Or Die and even released "Po Pimp", which made it to platinum. His latest, "Kamikaze", has earned a spot on Billboard 200.
Previously called Tung Twista, his Runnin' Off at the Mouth, matching West Side rapper's quick staccato delivery (he claims that he learned the business from listening to jazz scat singing) with East Coast rhythms.
In 1997, Twista made his major record label debut by releasing "Adrenaline Rush" on Atlantic. After that two albums had followed, "Mobstability" and "Legit Ballin'". His latest album, "Kamikaze", came out in early 2004. Twista collaborated with Ludacris, Jay-Z, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to make "Kamikaze".
