The Ellis Potter Band is a "High Octane" and "Energized" power trio based in the Chicago suburb of Streamwood, Illinois, and was born of "HELL FIRE" and "WHISKEY SOAKED BAR ROOM BOOGIE"!
This band takes deliberate steps to bring a refreshing, yet familiar approch to the material they perform. Using a tried and true formula of pure high energy rock-n-roll mixed with a "back to the basics" attitude while feeding off each others influences and strengths.
The Ellis Potter Band performs their own style of "Fatback Rattlesnake" rock-n-roll the way it was meant to be played, "No Holds Barred" and "Flat Out Down and Dirty" honest rock-n-roll in it's rawest form!
Putting their own flair on current hits, older favorites and their own well written original material, each member is a stellar musician in their own right with years of writting and performing under their belts.
A native of Lansing Michigan... guitarist/vocalist/songwriter...Ellis Potter's "fat and beefy" guitar sound along with his soulful baritone growl sets the tone for the "rock solid" rhythm section of bassist/vocalist/songwriter...Ron Wright and drummer/vocalist/songwriter...Scott Tyrcha. This dynamic duo has over 20 years experience of playing together and lays down the foundation as well as lending to singing both lead and harmony vocals.
