| Acting Assistant Principal Violist with the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra, Ms. Van Valkinburgh is also Principal Violist with the Grant Park Symphony, and a member of Roosevent University's Chicago College of Performing Arts. As a chamber musician, she is affiliated with the Chicago Ensemble, and has appeared at the Midsummer's Music Festival and Chamber Music at the University of Rhode Island. She has held the position of Principal Viola in the Springfield Symphony, and has played in many orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony, the Spokane Symphony, and the Orchestra Sinfonia Dell'Emilia-Romagna Parma in Italy.
