| Rogers Park-based dirt-rock quartet (see loud, sludgy guitars) with slighty country-punk leanings. Members include Tony Frank, guitarist Jackson Wilson, Allen Wetzel and Todd Hartman. Wilson and Hartman were both members of the Gel-Tones, a metal-leaning Evanston/Chicago group which split up in late 1994. In the year that Speed Duster's been around, they've had tracks on the Subdisc 2 and Invasion of the Indie Snatchers (Allied Records), and a single, "Unsteady" b/w "Squelch" (Crank Records), and a 6-song demo tape.
