| New Chicago improv group released their eponymous debut in early 1999. Members include guitarist Ben Vida, bassist Liz Payne (both also in minimalist group Town and Country), Fred Lonberg-Holm, and reedist Michael Colligan. Says Chicago Reader's Peter Margasak, "yawning legatos are punctured by thorny barrages of notes, metallic patters are layered with screeching harmonics, and subtle hisses are blown away by violent cello thwacks."
