| Luna Blues Machine combines hip-hop, folk, blues and rock infused with their Latina sensibiltiy and harmonized exquisitiely over seemingly simple, but perfectly sculpted arrangements. Led by the songwriting duo, Maritza and Belinda Cervantes, these sisters let their voices ride atop their beautiful musicianship on guitar and mandolin, respectively. Their bass player, Hippie John, sometimes ends up on fantastical excursions in low end theory, but always comes home at the right point, never afraid to go the extra note.
They have three self-produced EPs, most recently, Live at 3030 W. Cortland. They have played at Subterranean, Underground Lounge, Beat Kitchen, the Chicago Cultural Center, The Grassroots Media Festival, and opening for Teatro Luna.
