Born in Brooklyn in 1962, Joanna Connor moved to the Windy City in 1984. Now residing in Evanston, this blues guitarist has a slashing style that reminds Playboy Magazine of a "soprano Johnny Winter." Billboard calls her a "truly dazzling guitarist with a flaming slide guitar attack." Either way, she's one of the best female guitarists around and certainly one of the best blues guitarists in Chicago. She has two early Blind Pig releases: Believe It and Fight followed by Living on the Road and Rock and Roll Gypsy (both on German labels). Big Girl Blues, her latest Blind Pig Release hit record stores at the end of '96. For more information, visit their website: http://www.joannaconnorband.com
