Guitarist, who recently recorded a debut disc, Give Me Wings (Atomic Theory), is the son of west-side blueswoman Johnnie Mae Dunson Smith. He's scheduled to accompany his mother, Roy Hytower, and another mother-son pair (Vera Taylor and Eddie Taylor Jr.) in a tribute to Jimmy Reed at the 1999 Chicago Blues Festival.
