| The members of Jim. The band, who have have been playing together since 1994, when they hit Champaign as Nurse Rick, were recently chosen as the AEMMP Records band for the year. As such, students in Columbia College's arts and entertainment management program with record and promote the band. Helping to create the thriving music scene of Champaign, members of Jim took to the roads and seaways of America. Their mission: to fulfill their destiny and provide to the teaming masses what they were so severely in need of - a new take on rock music, a fresh perspective on the musical dialect which had established itself in Chicago and the Midwest, a hope for the future (Or so they say!) With a wide variety of influences from their Champaign/Chicago roots to ethereal to jazz to funk, Jim adds a new dimension to alternative rock music. Members of the band include:
