| Slide guitar legend Theodore Roosevelt "Hound Dog" Taylor, whose sound embodied the South Side juke-joint, was an important influence on the post-British Invasion modern rock and boogie sounds. Magic Slim says that Hound Dog gave him his first break and rocker George Thorogood roadied for him. His group's debut Hound Dog Taylor & the Houserockers remains a blues classic.
