Founded in 1993 years ago by guitarist/vocalist Gene Blalock, Garden of Dreams has evolved through a number of lineup changes, though it has hovered around the sweet, melancholy Brit-pop vein, complete with video projection and choreographed lighting. They have several recordings, including the 1994 EP Music Without Hands, 1996's The Seraphim's Desire, 1999's Everything, a collection of remixes from Everything -- entitled In Sight of Skies Turned Out -- and 2001's Sleeping Stars.
As of 2004, Garden of Dreams have decided to rename their band to The Faded and have now relocated to Los Angeles. Their last show as Garden of Dreams was played at the Bottom Lounge on March 27, 2004. The Faded played their first show at the International Pop Overthrow in May.
