Eddie Blazonczyks

Eddie Blazonczyk's influence on the polka industry probably began in 1963 when he left the world of Rock n Roll as Eddie Bell and the Bel-Aires and re-entered the polkas as Eddie Blazonczyk and the Versatones.

Inducted into the Polka Music Hall of Fame in 1970, at the age of 29, Blazonczyk continued his reign as the "Nation's Number One Polka Band" for over 3 decades. He managed to captivate the polka public, dominate the recording industry with over 50 albums, and control the polka stage by doing over 200 one-nighters all over the country.

Eddie Blazonczyk is the rock upon which modern polka music was built. He had established a sound and style that other's have tried to copy, tried to duplicate...but there is only one Eddie Blazonczyk's Versatones...."The Nation's Number One Polka Band."

Today, as Eddie, Sr. has moved to the background, Eddie Blazonczyk, Jr. continues the proud heritage of the Versatones the group currently captures yet another Grammy Nomination for this group.

Eddie Blazonczyk's Versatones - "The Nation's Number One Polka Band."
