Carol Anshaw
 
Born in Detroit, lives in Chicago. She was a movie reviewer at the Chicago Sun-Times for 7 years. Teaches in graduate writing programs at Art Institute of Chicago and Vermont College.

In "Aquamarine," Anshaw creates three distinct outcomes for the life of a young swimmer after she loses an Olympic race. "Aquamarine" won the Carl Sandburg Award from the Chicago Public Library. Anshaw's second novel, "Seven Moves," deals with a situation closer to home for the author, telling the story of a therapist whose lesbian lover suddenly disappears.
