| Kat Victoria born in Monroe, Louisiana mainly raised in Chicago has enough electricity to light up the Chicago Skyline. A quality vocalist with a sound that’s between Gladys Knight and Toni Braxton. Often mistaken for a large woman due to her big soulful sound, Kat is gifted with raw sultry emotion and can belt with the best of them and has. Sharing the stage with legendary artist like Melba Moore, Martha Reeves, and the current Broadway star Chester Gregory.
As a songwriter Kat Victoria writes simple songs about complex things: Love, heartbreak life in general and, social issues in the urban community. You instantly sing a long even with each melody even though, you never heard the tunes before. Often referred to Diane Warren Kat is mainly influenced by her own personal experiences and the likes of artist like: Prince, Gladys Knight, Baby Face and Donna Summer to name a few. Acting in Musical Theatre for five years at The Black Ensemble Theater becoming a union actor when she landed the principle role of Freda in “The Jackie Wilson Story” in 2002, which toured from Chicago to New York ending with a month at The World Famous Apollo Theatre in 2003. Other acting credits include her acting debut as Gladys Knight in “Dynamite Divas Estie in “The Muddy Waters Story”, Lady in Waiting in The Other Cinderella, Vee in The Boy Became Invisible, Toi in The Girl Who Was Different and Betty in Memphis Soul Stew at The Chicago Dramatist.
