Nothing says "happy hour" like sipping a margarita on an outside patio. Salseria Cantina’s refreshing libations, made with fresh-squeezed lime juice, are perfect for breaking the ice at a lunch meeting or winding down after another grueling day in the Loop. The folks at Taco Fresco created this Sears Tower spot, offering affordable, tasty Mexican fare for folks who aren't quite raking in six figures but who won't resort to Taco Bell or Chipotle.
Complimentary chips come before each meal, and, as the name of the place suggests, you'll have plenty of salsa choices to dip into. Entrees include traditional enchiladas, tamales, fajitas and the like, all made with obscenely fresh ingredients. If the typical taqueria stock is too heavy for you, give Salseria's lighter items a try; the grilled tuna steak salad, garnished with tortilla strips and roasted peppers, hits the spot without weighing you down. With most meals priced $8-$15, there's no better deal for a meal in the Sears Tower. As can be expected by any Mexican joint worth its cilantro, the interior of Salseria features fiesta-worthy reds and yellows. Occasionally hosting live bands or ladies nights (manicures, massages and margaritas), Salseria has made itself an indispensable part of the downtown party circuit.
