The Apartment offers all of the comforts of a night at home drinking with friends: plush chairs and sofas, a queen-size bed, giant tub, cozy kitchen, drunk former frat boys and expensive mixed drinks. Supposedly more formal than its downstairs neighbor,
Lion Head Pub, the Apartment has a dress code that prohibits baggy jeans (those are so last year, anyway) and sports attire (don't worry, you'll still be able to pick out the Michigan State alums without their hats).
While this place definitely has a unique, home-y decor, it's not nearly as cozy as a real night chilling at home. It's pretty crowded on the weekends, with more young guys than women, but then again, you can't meet anyone new sitting in your actual apartment with people you already know. If you're in the Lincoln Park area, the Apartment is definitely worth at least one visit for kitsch alone. Besides, you're bound to leave with some crazy stories involving the bar's huge, inviting bed or the shower. If you're unsure what to use them for, check out the steamy photography on the walls.
