Why to go: The Indie Designer Fashion Market, featuring local independent designers whose fashions are inspired by vintage and hand-made clothing combined with imaginative and trendy interpretations.
Additional info: Other show features include The Treasures Cafe and Lounge, a built-in pub with live music in Plumbers' Hall, Silk Road Chicago, celebrating the cross-cultural exchange of goods and ideas that occurred for centuries from East Asia to the Mediterranean, Inheritors Row and the Kid Collectors Corner. There will also be gourmet food and wine tastings courtesy of Uncorked Chicago. The real show begins at 8 a.m., but early birds with deep pockets can enjoy browsing at 7 for a $30 fee.
